Kai Pakōtai is a small family-owned café, specialising in organic food using fresh, high quality, local ingredients.
Set in the idyllic Mangakahia valley, the cafe began from simple origins, offering our small community access to real coffee and wholesome, nourishing takeaway food with a traditional New Zealand flavour.

Kai o te Rohe - Local ingredients
We source our local ingredients directly from organic farmers in the Mangakahia valley.
Our seafood is sustainably harvested by local fishermen, small businesses and Iwi-owned enterprises around the pristine northland coast.
We purchase organic coffee beans directly from small, family-owned producers.
